Finally!!! There are always a million other jobs here that seem to take priority over this newsletter so our apologies for not updating it for SOOOO long! Our three months abroad went very well and we met up with a lot of wonderful glass artists in England, Italy and the United States of America. There were too many highlights to focus on any one particular event but I must mention Vittorio Costantini, Josh Simson, Cathy, Colin and Steve Richardson and Mark Matthews who all gave of their time and some valuable information which will hopefully enable me to become a better glass worker. We enjoyed enormously the Wheaten Village Marble show and it was great to re-aquaint with Eddie and Bobbie Seese and their daughters and James Yaun who was as usual full of life and laughter! It was also a wonderful opportunity to meet lots of other marble makers, all of whom were so very friendly and willing to pass on valuable tips. It is a lovely “community” to be a part of.Thanks too to Brian and Becky Bowden in Los Angeles for their hospitality and the chance to drool over Brian’s magnificent collection of marbles. There were lots of other adventures along the way but that would take up too much time here. We are now back here and hard at work preparing for the coming season and the Tasmanian Craft Fair in November. I hope we will see some of you there. As soon as I have mastered some of new techniques I learnt while I was away I will put up some pictures.Until next time,Jan and Jo
