The World of Marbles is Australia’s only gallery to specialise in contemporary art glass marbles. Not only do we sell marbles from glass workers around the world, we also make them here in our glass studio which is attached to the gallery.

The Gallery is situated  in Sheffield, Tasmania which is a popular tourist destination as visitors come to see the many murals in the town.  The town is overlooked by majestic Mount Roland and on the road to Cradle Mountain National Park.

The Crew
Jan Clay – co-owner of the business. I am a photo realist oil painter and in recent years took a turn down the lamp working trail to make marbles and jewellery.  The painting now takes second place.

Peter Clay – the other owner.  Peter, a metallurgist who has recently given up his life in the mining industry to assist us here - he does the cooking and is a great shop assistant.

Jo Foster – Jo has been with us since we started six years ago and since I am trying to be as honest as possible I shall have to admit that she is the one who keeps everything on track and does all the work! Jo has taken up lamp working and makes small sculptures and beads. Take a look at Jo's wonderful miniature animals. ,
